29th Street Park offers playgrounds, baseball and softball fields. Also include at the park is the multi-purpose facility, 29th Street Recreation Center.

The Fluellen Recreation Center at 8th Street Park features a game room, multi-purpose activity room, full size kitchen, basketball courts, a playground, a memorial garden, and a recreation center.

A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium seats 15,000. It is the site of the Ft. Valley State – Albany State Classic football game and the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic football game.

Alexander Park features a playground, baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, and volleyball court.

Anderson Village is a local playground for children. It has access to basketball courts, softball and baseball fields, and a playground.

Neighborhood park

Benning Hills has a baseball – softball field, football field, tennis court, racketball court, ping pong, playground, arts and crafts, pool tables, weight room, aerobics/exercise.

The Frank Chester Recreation Center is located at Benning Park. In front of the building is a racquetball court, seven tennis courts, four softball fields, and a football field. Children enjoy the playground equipment.

Take flight on the Blue Heron Adventure in Columbus, Georgia! Crossing the Chattahoochee River, experience the only dual-zip line that connects two states reaching speeds up to 40mph. This zip not only connects Georgia and Alabama, it will have your feet dangling 100 ft. over the Columbus Whitewater course.

The Boxwood Recreation Center features a game room, multi-purpose activity room, large playing field, basketball courts, and a playground.

The Cultural Arts Studio, located at the Northern end of Britt David Park, offers a variety of arts & crafts including painting, pottery, ceramics, and photography classes.

Bull Creek Golf Course offers 36 holes of some of the finest public golf in Georgia. The two championship 18s were designed by Joe Lee and Ward Northrup; each carry a Par 72.

Enjoy a stroll on the trail, go fishing, bring the kids to the playground, or just relax at one of the pavilions. The Recreation Center includes a Gymnasium, Kitchen, and Gameroom.

Neighborhood park

The Chattahoochee RiverWalk is the front door to the longest urban kayaking course in the world. Currently, you can geocache, bike, skate, stroll and walk on the RiverWalk along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.

Visitors enjoy a dynamic and educational experience including seven flight simulators, the state-of-the-art Omnisphere Theater planetarium, and the Mean Observatory.

Famed bridge builder Horace King, the ‘Mother of the Blues’ Gertrude ‘Ma’ Rainey, artist Alma Thomas, musician ‘Blind Tom’ Bethune, and many other African Americans are celebrated here for their contributions to Columbus.

Hike the Joann Holt Walking Trail or stroll through the display gardens that showcase a range of local plant species. On weekdays, you can also tour the historic 1890s Adams Farmhouse.

The Civic Center is the premier venue in a large sports and entertainment complex, hosting a myriad of concerts, sporting events and family shows. Home to professional hockey and arena football teams.

As an American art and regional history museum, and the second largest general museum in Georgia, the Columbus Museum offers a diverse collection. The Museum is always changing and always free.

The CSO has long been considered one of the Southeast’s premier musical ensembles. In 2002, the CSO became a tenant of the new RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

Cooper Creek Park provides access to a walking and fitness trail, playgrounds, picnic areas, horseshoe courts, softball, fishing, and one of the top clay court tennis facilities in the country, Cooper Creek Tennis Center.
