Want to spend some time in the great outdoors? Locust Grove has plenty of options. Visit the Cubihatcha Outdoor Center, and take a walk through nature along the two main trails. The river trail runs along the Towaliga River for approximately 8 miles -open April- October. The loop trail is nearly 2 miles -open year-round. Cubihatcha’s diverse habitats provide for various native plant and animal sightings.
Fourteen-acre Tanger Station Park offers three lighted baseball/softball fields, batting cages, and a playground, and Warren Holder Park’s 40 acres include two lighted tennis courts, three lighted football fields, nine lighted baseball/softball fields, and a playground. You can have a picnic while the kids burn off steam on the playground area.
