Red Trail – Sweetwater Creek State Park - Sweetwater Creek State Park

The Red Trail is the most frequently used trail in Sweetwater Creek State Park because it is the shortest trail to the ruins of the five-story New Manchester mill and best showcases the beauty of the creek valley. It is the recommended hike for first-time visitors. The second half mile of the Red Trail follows the rapids downstream to the Sweetwater Falls area and is considerably more strenuous because of the rocky terrain.
