Freedom Park is an exercise center for the runners, cyclists and walkers.

The largest park in Macon-Bibb County, Freedom Park is a multipurpose athletic outpost, offering baseball and softball fields, splash pad, playground, lake with fishing, basketball courts, walking trails, even a boxing arena.

This mostly flat property in Milton has 21 acres of pasture-like terrain by the corner of Freemanville and Birmingham Roads. There are fenced-in spaces, several trees, and a parking lot large enough for horse trailers to turn-around. People are welcome to use it, as are leashed dogs as well as horses being led and/or ridden. 

On 9.1 acres, this park has a 0.3-mile walking/jogging track, 2 picnic pavilions, 2 tennis courts, grills and a playground.

This Roswell City Park offers a playground, picnic pavilion, a large multi-purpose field, and short trail that follows the Chattahoochee River, and a canoe/kayak launch.

This park features a museum with aircraft, armored vehicles, uniforms, weapons, medals and other items from the Revolutionary War through the Gulf War; an 18-hole golf course; and 8,700-acre Lake Blackshear.

70 acres. Two tennis courts, sand volleyball court, playground, dog park area, 1.25 paved multi-purpose trail, grill, pavilion. Walkers, joggers, bikers, inline skaters, and others can access the trail at a variety of locations.

A sustainable greenspace and trail network with miles of connected hiking, biking, and walking trails.

What was once railroad tracks is now known as the Greenway Trail, which was a part of “Rails to Trails” program. When trains stopped running on the tracks, Douglas repurposed the area into a walking and biking trail. (No motorized bikes or vehicles) This trail begins at Douglas Square and ends JC Adams Municipal Park. Asphalt paving for non-motorized cycling.

This hidden outdoor gem is tucked away on the Emory University campus.

Sandy Springs’ Hammond Park offers a multipurpose building, gym, game room, soccer field, lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic pavilions, and a playground.

1,290 acres. Playground, Pavilion, restrooms, equestrian trailer parking, 4.3-mile paved multi-purpose trail, 7-mile equestrian trail, 7-mile mountain biking trail, 4.5-mile hiking trail. grills.

The Heard County Recreation Department seeks to provide diverse year-round leisure opportunities through the preservation of open space, park settings, recreational facilities and programs for the citizens of Heard County.

This Roswell City Park offers baseball fields, campground, garden, picnic areas, playground, rec center, tennis courts, and hiking/walking trails.

Neighborhood park

This beautiful public park features tennis courts, an outdoor amphitheater, several play areas, open fields, pavilions, and, of course, the wonderful Henderson Falls.

Heritage Park is the home of a Veterans Wall of Honor, museum and historic village featuring a log cabin, detached cookhouse, schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, library and 1934 steam engine locomotive. Tours by appointment.

Herman C. Michael Park is a 37-acre park. The park has three lighted softball fields, four lighted tennis courts, two junior tennis courts, two lighted outdoor basketball courts, one gymnasium with full basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, soccer/multi-use field, playground, disc golf course, picnic shelter and a 1.25-mile paved walking trail.

This large, 115-acre park offers a 0.3-mile walking/jogging track, 2 pavilions, 2 playgrounds, 6 tennis courts, 9 lighted baseball/softball fields, an amphitheater, gazebo, basketball court and senior center.

10 Baseball/Softball Fields, 2 Batting Cages,1 Football/Soccer Field, 4 Tennis Courts, 1 Outdoor Volleyball Court, 2 Playgrounds, Running/Walking Track (1/2 mile), 3 Pavilions (available to rent), 4 Picnic Areas (1 with Grill).

12 acres. Two river overlooks, pavilion, playground, wood amphitheatre, .25-mile soft surface trail, restrooms, grill.

This park in McCaysville has picnic pavilions, a playground, and access to the Toccoa River for fishing and wading.

Includes 7 A L T A-certified tennis courts, 10 multi-purpose ball fields, a Miracle League ball field and 12 batting cages, over 1? miles of sidewalks for walking/jogging, a 5-acre lake surrounded by a walking track, and picnic areas.

Connected to the Rock Creek Greenway, Gainesville’s oldest park is a tree-lined oasis great for a walk or run. Picnic tables and pavilion are available.

Location for the Huckaby Softball Complex, Premier Athletic Complex, Jardine Football Stadium, Wilson Baseball Field as well as a soccer field, 2 fish ponds, and a park shelter.
