This place off Aska Road is a passive park with lake access, a boat launch, and hiking trail.

Lake McIntosh, a 650 acre reservoir on Line Creek, provides the only public access to the lake. Amenities at the 14.5-acre Lake McIntosh Park include walking trails, pavilion, playground area, gazebo, boat ramp with two boat docks, and restrooms.

Lake Peachtree is known as a great location for swimming, walking, running or fishing. The multi-use path that runs around the perimeter of the lake is just short of 4 miles and makes for a great jog or walking route. There are several public access areas to the lake including Battery Way, Drake Field and the All Children’s Play Park. Non-gasoline-powered boats are permitted via the public launch on Battery Way.

Lake Tobesofkee offers two beautiful campgrounds, beaches, 1,750-acre lake, fishing, boating and playgrounds, disc golf, swimming and picnic pavilions. Operated by Bibb County.

Lake Toccoa is fun for the entire family, with a 9-hole golf course, event center, boat house, a pavilion, and a 0.7-mile handicapped-accessible walking trail around the perimeter of the lake.

Lakeshore Park is a 45-acre park featuring a fishing pond, .25-mile running/walking track, artificial turf soccer field, two softball fields, playground, picnic pavilions, and 10-court tennis center.

The Lakhapani Preserve is a serene natural getaway set off Lackey Road, a rural gravel road accessible from Arnold Mill Road, in southwest Milton. Its 106 acres include a 1.5-mile trail that winds up and down amid trees, along and over bubbling creeks, next to Wolff Lake, and even past occasional cows munching in an adjoining pasture.

This park features beautiful views of the lake as well as excellent access to swimming, picnicking, and boating.

Located on the shores of Lake Lanier, Lanier Point Athletic Complex is one of the premier athletic facilities in the Southeast.

Offering a dog park, paved walking trail, Splash Pad, and a mega boat ramp, this 124-acre park is one of the largest and most frequented parks in Hall County.

Laurel Ridge Trail goes through Buford Dam Park and continues through Powerhouse Park and Lower Overlook. Along the 3.8-mile trail, you can glimpse beautiful views of the lake, woodland and river scenery, as well as rare wildflowers and a variety of wildlife. The trail winds through several park areas, along with the lake’s shoreline and the banks of the Chattahoochee River.

Legacy Park features two full-sized, multi-sport turf fields as well as an additional half-sized turf field. It is located at 170 Cox Road, near State Route 140/Arnold Mill Road, Ebenezer Methodist Church and the Porter Academy.

This city park offers an art room, dog park, pond with fishing allowed, garden, and a pedestrian-only natural trail meandering through heavily wooded areas. Somewhat hilly with dramatic views of lakes and natural vegetation.

This large, tree-lined park has a boat launch, picnic tables and pavilions, and hiking trails. You can swim in the lake, but be aware there are no lifeguards.

Logan Farm Park includes a nature trail that connects to Cowan Road, Terrace Drive, Cherokee Street, School Street, and Mc Clain Circle; a lighted 1/3-mile walking track around a multipurpose recreational field; a half-acre fishing pond; playground; and restrooms. Park hours are 7 a.m.-11 p.m. This park is home to the Parks and Recreation Offices.

By far one of Gainesville’s most popular parks, Longwood offers great views of the lake, fishing, boat dock, eight tennis courts, trails, playgrounds and more. Try walking to the Downtown Square through the Rock Creek Greenway.

Lower Overlook Park is on the Chattahoochee River, overlooking Buford Dam. Amenities include picnic tables and grills as well as access to the Laurel Ridge Loop Trail.

Mary Street Park in downtown Waycross features a pavilion for gatherings, a beautiful lawn intersected by a walking path as well as a swing set and merry-go-round.

This 5-acre property sits along Mayfield Road next to the Lakeside at Crabapple neighborhood, just north (and on the opposite side of the street) of Milton Library. It features a pier, pavilion, and walking trails.
