Georgia’s oldest great temple mound, standing 57 feet high, dominates two smaller burial mounds and several ceremonial mounds. Also offering fishing, boating, camping and hiking.

Lake Chatuge is a man-made reservoir created by the Chatuge Dam which finished construction in 1942. The lake averages 30 feet in depth and 144 ft at its deepest.

When you visit Lake Lanier Olympic Park, you can relax on the sandy beach, enjoy a picnic and a good book in Fields Memorial Butterfly garden, or take a walk through the park taking in wonderful art. If you enjoy fishing, there’s a great shoreline to cast a line. You can also participate in paddling and rowing.

Lane Creek Golf Club is a daily fee course. All 18 greens, along with the practice putting green, is surfaced with Champion Bermuda grass. The practice facility includes 12,000 square feet of tee area, contoured target greens and 7,000 square foot putting green.

Near the northern edge of the Okefenokee Swamp, this park’s lake offers opportunities for fishing, swimming and boating, and kayaks and bicycles are available for rent, as well as an 18-hole championship golf course.

Little Ocmulgee State Park & Lodge is a charming destination for a relaxing getaway and offers activities including golf, camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, tennis and more.

Magnolia Springs State Park is known for its crystal clear springs flowing 7 million gallons per day. A boardwalk spans the cool water, allowing visitors to look for alligators, turtles and other wildlife. A 28-acre lake is available for fishing and boating.

Beginners, recreational clay shooters, wing-shooters and competitive sportsmen alike enjoy this premier shooting facility renowned for throwing quality target presentations. This facility is open year round to both members and non-members.

Release your inner daredevil during one of the internationally recognized rider training classes dedicated to expanding rider education and motorcycle safety. You’ll find bikers taking basic training classes, youngsters learning to maneuver ATVs, groups team building or a family learning the elements of dirt bike riding.

The mountain is similar to both Stone Mountain and Heritage Area sister, Arabia Mountain but unlike either, it has never been quarried. Today, the park has expanded to more than 1,600 acres and includes lakes, a former golf course now returned to nature and early settler homesteads.

The Lakes Golf Course was designed by Steve Burnes and features native sand for the many bunkers and waste areas. This coastal Georgia course has three large lakes and is very close to the Okefenokee Swamp. Popular for great course conditions and mild weather.
