The Big Creek Greenway is a 12-foot wide paved path that follows the natural topography of Big Creek in Alpharetta for walking, biking and in-line skating. Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway is currently 8.2 miles in length. The Greenway also has multiple off-road bike paths as well.

Brookdale Park is a popular greenspace offering a variety of recreational activities, including access to tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a flowing creek with walkable bridges. It also features a baseball diamond, a field for community events, and the Brookdale Recreation Center.

Colonial Hills / Unity Park is a 2.3 acre mini-park located north of Hawthorne Way and
south of Langford Parkway. It has a hard surface trail leading into it, as well as shaded
areas for retreat from the sun. There is a stream running through the site and a shaded playground.

This 27-acre park with about a mile of natural trails features preserved 300-year-old white oaks and the potential to see rare pink lady slippers in bloom in late April or early May. Trails open to hiking, biking and walking. Enjoy the waterfall!

The East Point PATH is an ongoing project that includes at least 9.6 miles of concrete, multi-use trails and greenways, with the potential for developing a total of 25 miles with connections to the Atlanta Beltline’s Southside Trail. From the corner of Kimmeridge Drive and Headland Drive, the trail weaves through Sumner Park before following along Norman Berry Drive towards Spring Street Park. The PATH is great for biking, walking, and inline skating, and it is wheelchair accessible.

This small neighborhood park includes a children’s play area and picnic tables and grill beneath an open pergola.

A Queen Anne-style home constructed in 1912 and rich with history. The Mansell House, open for tours by appointment, is home to the Alpharetta & Old Milton County Historical Society and is also used for weddings and special events.

The sports complex offers baseball fields, a football field, batting cages, covered dugouts, concessions, a press box, restrooms, and field lighting, suitable for hosting outdoor sports events.

Release your inner daredevil during one of the internationally recognized rider training classes dedicated to expanding rider education and motorcycle safety. You’ll find bikers taking basic training classes, youngsters learning to maneuver ATVs, groups team building or a family learning the elements of dirt bike riding.

The mountain is similar to both Stone Mountain and Heritage Area sister, Arabia Mountain but unlike either, it has never been quarried. Today, the park has expanded to more than 1,600 acres and includes lakes, a former golf course now returned to nature and early settler homesteads. This park provides a free, high mobility all-terrain wheelchair by reservation.

Red Top Mountain State Park, located on Lake Allatoona, is a great destination for swimming, watersports, and fishing. Visitors can enjoy the swimming beach, picnic shelters, and rental cottages and campgrounds. This park provides a free, high mobility all-terrain wheelchair by reservation.

Sumner Park offers a variety of spaces for visitors, residents, and their furry friends! The park features a dog park, walking spaces, and Dick Lane Velodrome, a historic bicycle racing facility. Sumner Park can also host sporting events on its three fields, as well as group events and smaller-scale sports programs. This park is the perfect place to catch some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. Park amenities include grills, athletic fields, playgrounds, restroom facilities, shelters (pavilions), and tennis courts.

o Topgolf is the premier golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favorite local hangout spot. You can challenge your friends and family to addictive point-scoring golf games year-round. Enjoy cocktails, food and seasonal live music.

The African- American Panoramic Experience ( A P E X) showcases art, dance, and African history.

The The 6.6-acre linear park features a playable art structures playground, a pavilion, picnic tables, and restrooms. Groups are invited to use the pavilion, on a first-come, first-served basis. 

One of the great things about living in Sandy Springs is the number and quality of parks and the continued interest and participation in them. Abernathy Park offers tennis courts, playground, picnic tables and an arts center.

The Acworth Rosenwald School, circa 1924-25, was one of the over 5,858 schools (242 in Georgia) built with the assistance of the Julius Rosenwald Fund as locations to educate black children. It is now a community center.

The 42-acre Acworth Sports Complex currently contains six baseball fields, two football fields, multiple practice areas, batting cages, restrooms, two concession stands and parking. The complex accommodates players, ages 5-14 for baseball and 5-12 for football. Park hours are 7a.m.-11p.m.

U-pic fruits/berries and spacious roadside market that offers vegetables and fruits to include vine-ripened tomatoes, beans, squash, corn, cucumbers, peppers, turnip greens, broccoli, cabbage, butterbeans, peas, cantaloupe, and okra, most of which are grown on site at our farm.
