Locate It: East Point

Brookdale Park is a popular greenspace offering a variety of recreational activities, including access to tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a flowing creek with walkable bridges. It also features a baseball diamond, a field for community events, and the Brookdale Recreation Center.

Colonial Hills / Unity Park is a 2.3 acre mini-park located north of Hawthorne Way and
south of Langford Parkway. It has a hard surface trail leading into it, as well as shaded
areas for retreat from the sun. There is a stream running through the site and a shaded playground.

This 27-acre park with about a mile of natural trails features preserved 300-year-old white oaks and the potential to see rare pink lady slippers in bloom in late April or early May. Trails open to hiking, biking and walking. Enjoy the waterfall!

The East Point PATH is an ongoing project that includes at least 9.6 miles of concrete, multi-use trails and greenways, with the potential for developing a total of 25 miles with connections to the Atlanta Beltline’s Southside Trail. From the corner of Kimmeridge Drive and Headland Drive, the trail weaves through Sumner Park before following along Norman Berry Drive towards Spring Street Park. The PATH is great for biking, walking, and inline skating, and it is wheelchair accessible.

The sports complex offers baseball fields, a football field, batting cages, covered dugouts, concessions, a press box, restrooms, and field lighting, suitable for hosting outdoor sports events.

Sumner Park offers a variety of spaces for visitors, residents, and their furry friends! The park features a dog park, walking spaces, and Dick Lane Velodrome, a historic bicycle racing facility. Sumner Park can also host sporting events on its three fields, as well as group events and smaller-scale sports programs. This park is the perfect place to catch some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. Park amenities include grills, athletic fields, playgrounds, restroom facilities, shelters (pavilions), and tennis courts.

Smith-Taylor Park is a 21.4 acre, passive neighborhood park with rolling terrain located
south of Langford Parkway, west of Clermont.

This park is currently under development.

Spring Street Park is a 2.9 acre, special use park that is also the home to the City of East Point Historical Society. The site has a well-maintained lawn area, and sits midway along the East Point PATH, a 1.37-mile trail from Sumner Park and Bryan Park.

StationSoccer- East Point is the third soccer field to join the “League of Stations,” following locations at Five Points and West End. The field is located on Main Street across from the East Point MARTA station, making this location truly groundbreaking as it connects MARTA and the East Point community to sport of soccer.
