For fishing and camping, John Tanner Park is ideal. In addition, you’ll enjoy boating (including pedal boats available for rent), mini-golf, and volleyball. The playground and pavilions are inviting for family outings. Horseshoes and walking trails round out this do everything park. Also, a group lodge for family or corporate retreats is onsite. Little Tallapoosa Park is filled with activities, including camping, hiking, and horseback riding. Campers can enjoy a traditional campground and an RV park. All campsites have a picnic table and a fire ring with grill. The park has 9 miles of nature trails and 2.5 miles of paved trails, and two areas for fishing: a 2-acre pond and a 5-acre lake. The splash pad is a delight for kids and two pavilions are available by reservation.
