Andrews Cove Recreation Area in White County offers a cool mountain stream and a peaceful atmosphere, and 10 camping sites (no hookups).

These beautiful falls are located in the Chattahoochee National Forest and are readily accessible. Visit twin waterfalls plunging more than 150 feet (tallest) on the paved trail from the visitor information center. To get to the visitors center you will need to drive through Unicoi State Park

This 25,150-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. Over 19 miles of hiking trails are open to the public.

Cool River knows tubing. Shoot the ‘Hooch! Most of the river is ankle to knee deep, but some sections will be over your head.

Dukes Creek Falls is conveniently located on the Russell-Brasstown National Scenic Highway. The area offers a moderate hiking trail and exceptional scenery with panoramic views to the distinguished Mount Yonah.

Float down the Chattahoochee River on a 1.5 or 3-hour trip. Facilities include free parking, changing rooms, showers, picnic area with river/tuber viewing, gift shops featuring shirts, hats, water shoes, push-off sticks and all of your tubing needs.

Nestled in the foothils of the northeast Georgia Mountains overlooking the Alpine town of Helen, Innsbruck Golf Club offers breathtaking mountain views, wildlife and a challenging round of golf. The Bill Watts 6,748-yard, Par 72 course offers a challenge for the avid golfer and a pleasant round for the novice.

Located in the Chattooga Ranger District, this waterfall is perhaps one of the most unusual in north Georgia because the water flows through a split in the face of a solid rock outcropping to the ground 100 feet below. Behind the split, the water drops approximately 60 feet and then rushes through the rock face and drops 20 feet into a deep pool. The water then cascades 20 more feet to Dodd Creek. Three other waterfalls may be found on Dodd Creek.

Smithgall Woods is an angler’s paradise. One of north Georgia’s premier trout streams, Dukes Creek, runs through this spectacular mountain property. Five miles of trails and 18 miles of roads allow hikers and bicyclists to explore hardwoods, streams and wildlife.

From paddle board courses and s’mores with stories around the campfire to fly fishing classes, from guided hikes to our exciting, pulse-pumping adventure course, Unicoi State Park & Lodge has something that everyone will enjoy.

The Upper Chattahoochee River Blue Trail is a 39-mile pristine section of waterway. It offers excellent paddling for kayakers and canoeists, however, some experience is advisable before attempting Sections 2 and 3.

Woody’s typical trail ride/rental package includes bicycle, helmet and shuttle to a trail, and can last from two hours to all day. The Gold Mine Ride and The Gap Ride are Woody’s two most popular self-guided family outings.

Canopy tours, zip lines, ATV tours and rentals, ropes course, a giant swing and more will keep your adrenaline charged. Camping is also available.

Located near the rear of Upper Chattahoochee River Campground, the Horse Trough Falls Foot Trail leads to the stunning Horse Trough Falls and viewing deck where the beginning of the Chattahoochee River can be seen.

Nora Mill Granary is an operational gristmill alongside the Chattahoochee River that stone grinds and produces grain products such as grits, corn meal, pancake & waffle mixes, flours, biscuit & bread mixes, pioneer’s porridge, and the like.
